The Secret of The Secret: Is That It is NO SECRET

Pray as though it is done. Believe it is already done. Past tense. That you have it. Don't just talk. Believe. Believe it is so and it will come to you. It's been in print for thousands of years! This idea is nothing new and it bugs me that the Bible isn't cited as the source of this 'new hot phenomena'.

It's amazing how often in the Bible, Jesus shows the disciples that they just don't get it...and they don't get him. Mark 9 - the story of when Jesus comes back from the mountain after being transfigured. He comes upon a group of disciples arguing with the church leaders because the disciples are not able to heal a boy possessed.

First thing Jesus says is, "O unbelieving generation." He fixes the boy, casts out the demon and ends the scene by saying, "This kind will come out only by prayer."

Again the disciples spent their time arguing rather than believing - -and rather than praying. Jesus uses the terms in this story in an interchangable way. O unbelieving generation, this kind will only come out by belief. Try it.

We as disciples - -as Christians - - need to STOP arguing the validity of Jesus - -stop arguing His existence and START believing - - and really start praying...
