Why Do They? Why Do They? Why Do They?

Why are so many Christians informational and not transformational? I really want to know. Why do they memorize the Bible chapter and verse and spew it out…but not live it? Why do so many Christians opt to not be involved, or leave things alone, or pray as a way to not being involved?

I hear my people say all the time, “I’ll pray for you.” Translation: “Good luck with that.” It’s a put off…hand off…send off...avoidance…fear…apathy. Pray with me, you loser! I want you to step out. I need you to step out.

Why are so many Christians afraid?

Why do so many Christians not step up? Why do Christians use their knowledge of the Bible to judge people rather than accept them? Why do they get caught up in rules at the expense of relationships? Why is it so important to have God’s information and keep it locked inside our heads and hearts?

Why don’t we teach more about God’s transformation?

Why do we wag our fingers? Cross our arms? Close our eyes?

Why do we not turn our cheeks more?

Do other religions have people like us? Why do the media have such a hey-day with us? Should we not welcome risk or persecution – be it little or big, vast or minute?

Why do we? Why do we? Why do we?
